Have you ever seen anything SO STUPID!

Aren't there ANY adults in the Middle East? Reasonable men (and women) can almost always find a way to compromise....withOUT violence.

Wars have ALWAYS been supported by the Military Industrial complex which profits off of war at everyone else's expense, and by those who seek to control others by force if necessary. (They usually find a way to interject violence too, out of some warped mentality that says it is justified). Guns and other weapons are the instruments of those too weak brained to realize violence NEVER solves ANYTHING.

Violence is always the first resort by those too stupid to be able to use their brains and native intelligence and reason to solve their problems.

It will take time I know, but perhaps now that so many in the Middle East have access to computers, smart phones, the internet, and social media which is giving them their FIRST glimpse of the West and the larger world around them and perhaps also seeing how badly they have been lied to for so long....MAYBE NOW, we can begin to see a greater emphasis on peace, and peaceful solutions instead of the SOS (same old shit), Millions have died, More Millions injured, Staggering amounts of destruction with a cost that is almost unfathomnable. WHAT has ALL THIS COSTLY DESTRUCTION SOLVED?

NOTHING.

After hundreds of years of discord between Sunni and Shia, are these two Arab factions ANY CLOSER to a solution? What about the rancor between them and the Pashtun, or the Kurds, the Turks.

Again, WHERE THE FUCK are the grown-ups?

Afghanistan finally has a President who, if allowed, can guide his war-torn country to a new era of peace and openness to the west.

Let's hope so.

As far as the Israeli-Palestinian problem BOTH SIDES are guilty for this dragging on for so long and OTHERS have played the PEOPLE of the Middle East for fools, like Russia and China. Again, THEY gain in terms of money and power. But what has the average Afghan or Pakistani or Iranian or Iraqi gained? NOTHING.

Palestinian and Jew? All the years of conflict and are we ANY closer to a solution?

I love the Middle East and its people but UNLESS PEOPLE, not pols or diplomats or the media BUT PEOPLE start to rise up and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, I don't hold out much hope for the region.

That's true there, and other hot spots too. It is always the Powerful who win at the expense of everyone else.

SAD, SO FUCKIING SAD.

Perhaps ever sadder is that so many of the young brightest emigrate to Europe, the U.S. and elsewhere to avoid the violence.

My friend Mustafa Kazemi has worked his ass off to make a difference. Hekmat Rahmani is now too. And others.

Let's hope the voice of reason can prevail in a part of the world SO DESPERATELY IN NEED of it.

 All these pics of horrendous destruction are NOT about statistics, They 

are about HUMAN BEINGS and their worlds beiing blown apart by 

selfish control freaks with designs on power, NOT ideology. In America, 

we had this sort of thing in the early days of our country. We fought a civil 

war, but WE WON. The majority of Americans did not want the carnage 

or the bigotry and prejudice that was causing it. We fought off the British 

and kicked them out even though were were a very small young country 

then. Still even now there are those who would do this kind of thing for 

their own reward, but the rest of us band together and say NO. When we 

stop doing that as a country and as a people we would have what you 

see here. We don't want this. NOBODY SHOULD...but until there is a 

significant uprising against it, this will continue. Sad. Where ARE the 

grown-ups?
